This works for those who know all the track info and prefer not to browse through a list of possible songs in order to locate the one they were seeking. A drawback is that you cannot enter one or the other and browse the options. However, if twt.fm can’t find the track you are looking for, you can provide a link using youtube, imeem or an mp3 file. This option is easy to use and works well. Twt.fm can also be easily accessed through mobile devices using applications such as tweetie and tweetdeck.
Blip.fm is similar enough, although you do get multiple responses to search criteria even if the complete artist name and song title are input. It can be daunting to locate the particular song desired if the specifics aren‘t known. This is because it finds all partial matches and does not list them in any order such as alphabetically or by relevance. It is good however if you know you like a particular artist and want to see all their available songs. The upload feature isn’t as user friendly but it is possible to upload songs as well.
