So what are the ways to tweet music? There are a couple of good methods available: twt.fm and blip.fm. Both are fairly straightforward to use. Simply login, searching for music and the songs will automatically be tweeted.
Twt.fm is a music application created just for use only on twitter. On twt.fm, you provide both the artist and some portion on the track name to locate the song you wish to tweet (post). This works for those who know all the track info and prefer not to browse through a list of possible songs in order to locate the one they were seeking. A drawback is that you cannot enter one or the other and browse the options. However, if twt.fm can’t find the track you are looking for, you can provide a link using youtube, imeem or an mp3 file. This option is easy to use and works well. Twt.fm can also be easily accessed through mobile devices using applications such as tweetie and tweetdeck.
Blip.fm is similar enough, although you do get multiple responses to search criteria even if the complete artist name and song title are input. It can be daunting to locate the particular song desired if the specifics aren‘t known. This is because it finds all partial matches and does not list them in any order such as alphabetically or by relevance. It is good however if you know you like a particular artist and want to see all their available songs. The upload feature isn’t as user friendly but it is possible to upload songs as well. Blip.fm can be linked to twitter as well as several other social and blog sites.
